Heartfelt sing-alongs, piano-driven ballads and acoustic anthems are the hallmarks of the prolific Russian rock group. DDT started out in the underground music scene of the early '80s, but their popularity gradually spread further afield as the lyrics of original frontman Yuri Shevchuk gained a reputation for voicing the concerns of ordinary people.
