The Crow (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)
Various Artists

The soundtrack to the '90s fantasy-noir flick The Crow is a fittingly dark reflection of the story's comic-book roots. The Cure's "Burn" sets the tone, unravelling as a brooding, goth-styled manifesto, before Nine Inch Nails roll out a cover of Joy Division's "Dead Souls" that chills with haunting guitar lines and Trent Reznor's foreboding vocals. Again nodding to the movie's graphic-novel heritage, the Rollins Band's guttural take on Suicide's electro-punk epic "Ghostrider" resonates like a demonic incantation.
