Built by four L.A. musicians who had logged time with '80s stars like David Lee Roth, Racer X and Ted Nugent, Mr. Big blossomed at the dawn of the 1990s with earthy hard rock and raspy, passionate lyrics. The quartet became renowned for power ballads with the hand-claps and singalong chorus of "To Be With You" and the acoustic romance of "Just Take My Heart"--both led by Eric Martin's strong, emotionally raw voice. Despite the occcasional hiatus, Mr. Big soldiers on with gritty yet honest sounds, unafraid to reveal their hearts underneath their leather jackets.
