Galantis' effortless blend of pop and dance is second nature: Christian Karlsson, also a member of indie electro-poppers Miike Snow, has written for Madonna and Katy Perry; DJ Linus Eklöw, a.k.a. Style of Eye, co-wrote Icona Pop's "I Love It". Together, the Swedish duo put their diverse talents to good use in songs that pair giddy choruses and colourful arrangements with the pizzazz of EDM's production. The results sound vintage, modern and timeless all at once—a riot of kazoos, snare rolls and children's voices, but their confetti-cannon rush is tempered by exquisitely melancholy undertones.
