Flans' self-titled debut was a shot of sugar directly into the vein of Latin American pop. The sweetest track here is "Bazar", a melancholy jam that suggests what ABBA might have sounded like if they had sung in Spanish and lasted further into the '80s, but a few others are right up there. "No Controles" is uptempo Hi-NRG, and "Cerveza de Bote" builds toward a body-quaking breakdown. Respite comes with "¡Ay Amor!", a slow jam perfectly suited to the awkward charms of teenage dancing.
