The Osmonds Essentials

The Osmonds Essentials

A mainstay of '70s pop culture and beyond, the five brothers who comprised the Osmond family band were discovered by Andy Williams during the '60s. The youngsters' meticulous harmonies and exuberant energy made them a great fit for light pop songs, and by the early '70s they were a cultural phenomenon. They performed sold-out tours to screaming fans of mainly tween girls and even starred in their own Saturday-morning cartoon. Their sweet take on R&B and pop coined the phrase "bubblegum soul". In 1976, sister Marie joined the fold, starring with brother Donny on their own variety show.
