Murky, melancholic and full of movement, S.Pri Noir has stamped his mark on rap since breaking through in 2012 with a series of uncompromising mixtapes and EPs. But it’s not all street struggle and moody beats: the Paris-born musician also serves up Latin music-inspired bangers like “Chico”, catchy slow jams such as “Code pin 778” and, on the likes of “911” and “En vrai”, epic and affecting melodies. Such creative range is reflected beyond the recording studio, too—Noir collaborates with brands like Cartier and Adidas and co-directs his own videos.
