Back in the early-'90s Onyx brought hardcore hip-hop into the mainstream. Consisting of the gravel-voiced rappers Sticky Fingaz, Fredro Starr, Big DS and Sonny Seeza, the quartet from Queens came up under the watch of Jam Master Jay and scored big with the riotous anthem “Slam". The group's debut album, Bacdafucup, was an uncompromising listen while the follow up All We Got Iz Us somehow managed to ramp up the intensity levels to an even greater degree. While Sticky and Fredro would soon go on to star in films, Big DS unfortunately passed away in 2003.
