Originally emerging as champions of a fresh and young British folk scene in 2006 before disbanding in 2015, Noah & The Whale spent nearly a decade elegantly blending heart-on-sleeve lyrics with delicate indie rock, creating a timeless sound that was nonetheless all their own. The vivid depictions of loss and new love from the mind of founder and lead singer Charlie Fink gave the group a cult following before they slowly grew into festival favourites, mastering songwriting that was both intimate and sometimes anthemic.
