Finnish teenage rock band Haloo Helsinki! released their self-titled debut single in 2007. The song—a poppy amalgam of rave and metal—began the band's ascent to stardom in their native country. On the strength of their catchy pop-metal songs and the magnetic persona of blonde frontwoman and bassist Elli Haloo (Elisa Tiilikainen), the band quickly reached major label status. They've released a handful of studio albums already, each one more successful than its predecessor and all chock-full of hits and guitar solos, touching on either side of the pop-rock divide.
