Everclear Essentials

Everclear formed in Portland, Oregon in 1991 through a newspaper ad placed by recent San Francisco transplant Art Alexakis. Creating songs that mixed the crunch of grunge with power-pop hooks, sunny choruses and sardonic lyrics, they became one of the biggest alternative bands of the ‘90s over the course of five albums, including platinum sellers Sparkle and Fade, So Much for the Afterglow and Songs from an American Movie Vol. One: Learning How to Smile. Rebooted by Alexakis in 2004, the band now features a new line-up which continues to tour and record.
