In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Apart from hearing my father constantly playing the piano I remember when I popped side one of Elton John's Goodbye Yellow Brick Road on our turntable, placed the headphones on and never stopped listening until I reached the end of Harmony. Magical!! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Elton John, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road Deluxe The Blue Nile, Hats (Deluxe Version) Elton was my piano playing inspiration. Yellow Brick Road was his pinnicle, his masterpiece. The 2 Blue Nile albums are both examples of minimalistic mixing and production and I always reference to them when composing and mixing. Julia Fordham) (revisited)” Hejira (revisited) was the first track (of 9) that I attempted in my homage to Joni's 1976 masterpiece. I was so honoured to have Julia Fordham sing and BJ Cole play pedal steel to bring my guitar-free arrangement to life. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When the German games developers - JoMei Games - asked me to compose the soundtrack to their game Sea Of Solitude. Creativity just poured out, other musicians contributed and the album was released by Sony Classical. A fabulous journey! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'd love to work with the singer Tracey Thorn. Just adore her voice.
