The Move: Next Steps

The Move are best known for the melodic tug of their ‘60s psychedelic hits, but they were keen to dabble in other musical traditions—see the hard, driving prog of “Looking On” or the slick chamber pop of “The Girl Outside”. They also experiment with plangent acoustic chamber pop on “Beautiful Daughter”, and unleash some Slade-style blues rock on the overlooked gem “When Alice Comes Back to the Farm”.
