Enjambre Essentials

With the three Navejas brothers at its core, Enjambre (meaning "swarm") plays an admittedly nostalgic style of rock that's melodic, rootsy and progressive, with yearningly romantic lead vocals holding everything together. While Enjambre may not be your typical Mexico City-based rockers, they have epitomized a contemporary bicultural spirit since forming in Santa Ana, California, in 2001. Sometimes they shoot for the stars with compelling space-rock jams. The odd smash “Hematófago” from their fifth, gold-record-winning album, 2014's Proaño (Proactive), hits a more earthly target: the singer’s bloodstream.
