DC Talk: Next Steps

DC Talk peaked commercially with their mid-'90s rap rock, but their sound takes many forms. Since the late '80s, they've recorded street-savvy hip-hop and R&B that grooves with pounding drum machines and gospel cries (“Heavenbound”), electronic rock drenched in woozy, spiritual psychedelia (“Dive”) and heartfelt piano ballads that reach back to the folk roots of Jesus music (“I Wish We'd All Been Ready”).
