Walking in the footsteps of Argentine folk legends would intimidate the bejeezus out of most people—but not Abel Pintos. His 1998 debut album Para Cantar He Nacido says it all: he was born to sing. And sing he does, for anyone with an adventurous spirit. Modern cumbia, alt-rock, electronic tango and flamenco-soul are all part of Pintos' unique take on his country's music, informed by his world travels.
