Jean-Baptiste Arban

Jean-Baptiste Arban was a cornet player who contributed two masterful referential works for the cornet. First he set "The Carnival of Venice" to a variety of arrangements. These arrangements became the piesta resistance for subsequent cornet performers. His "Grande methode complete pour cornet a pistons et de saxhorn" is the hallmark text for cornet players. ~ Keith Johnson
