Stratejacket, hailing from Northern California, is not your typical pop-punk band. Their high-energy, earworm-forward style, deeply rooted in classic rock, is a sonic journey that owes as much to Led Zeppelin and the Beatles as Green Day and blink-182. The trio was founded at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Forced into lockdown, they focused on writing and rehearsing, emerging in 2023 with the fiery single "Don't Start" and a deal with Edgeout Records. The song appeared on the band's assured and eponymous five-track debut EP the following year.
