Ricardo Arjona

Ricardo Arjona is an award-winning Guatemalan singer, songwriter, and actor who has sold more than 80 million records worldwide. ∙ His first successful album after several tries was 1992’s Animal Nocturno, which sold over 500,000 copies in the US and featured the international hit “Mujeres.” ∙ Historias, from 1994, fully established him as an international star, with worldwide sales of over 2 million. ∙ His signature song, “El Problema,” spent eight consecutive weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart in late 2002 and early 2003. ∙ Fourteen of his albums have reached the Top 10 of Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart, with five going all the way to No. 1. ∙ Arjona was inducted into the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2014, and he received Lifetime Achievement honors at the 2017 Billboard Latin Music Awards.
