Rena Jones

Composer, multi-instrumentalist, audio engineer, and sound designer Rena Jones creates lush, entrancing music which incorporates electronic textures, classical instrumentation, and imagery inspired by nature and philosophy. She blended elements of downtempo, dub, drum'n'bass, and music from India on her 2004 debut album, Breaking the Divide. She has continued releasing lush, organic works such as 2006's Driftwood and 2013's Echoes, and runs the label Cartesian Binary Recordings. She has contributed to releases by Sound Tribe Sector 9, Beats Antique, and edIT (Glitch Mob), and has released collaborative projects with Emancipator and KiloWatts. She has composed music for the popular video game series Dance Dance Revolution, and has performed at major festivals such as Decibel and Burning Man. Her introspective album Love Letters appeared in 2025.
