Throughout this third EP, Machine Gun Kelly makes good on his moniker with a rapid-fire lyrical flow of rhymes. Cassie Ventura helps set an intimidating tone in the opening cut, “Warning Shot”, singing the song’s hook over sampled gunfire and a deep, foreboding bass. When the smoke clears, MGK comes out hard with impeccable phrasing that’s so adroit it almost sounds like he grew up toasting in reggae bands. Southern hip-hop luminary Waka Flocka Flame pipes in on the following “Wild Boy”, where he and MGK swap call-and-response verses. The duo compare themselves to Jackass and Wildboyz star Steve-O, making their outlaw exploits the main subject of the song's swagger, rhymed over giant, sluggish beats. Dramatically arranged strings and thunderstorm samples introduce “See My Tears” before MGK muses on his mundane surroundings and hardscrabble life. Lastly, MGK offers up some deep Cleveland love in the autobiographical title track.
