Tawsen’s rhythmic blends have been shaped by a wealth of musical and cultural influences. A rapper, singer and lyricist with Moroccan roots, he spent his childhood in Italy before moving to Brussels. And he refuses to be defined by one language or style—a statement made immediately on 2019 debut album Al Warda. Tawsen weaves Maghrebi influences into luscious, catchy cuts embracing hip-hop, French pop and R&B with hints of reggaetón, Afropop and more.
