John Mogensen

About John Mogensen

A Danish folk and pop legend -- as well as singer, songwriter, and pianist -- John Mogensen (born May 5, 1928) reached his first high marks in his popular music career as part of the Four Jacks. After that group disbanded in 1963, he worked successfully as a songwriter. In 1971, he had a comeback of sorts, landing songs on the Danish charts with regularity around that time. Mogensen passed away in 1977, but the legacy of his work lived on, and in 2008 a collection of his work entitled Livet Skal Jo Leves, Vil Du Ha' Skrå? peaked well within the Top Ten of the Danish album charts. ~ Chris True
