About Farben Lehre

Formed in 1986 in the central Polish city of Plock, Farben Lehre employs a blistering mix of punk rock, reggae, and alternative rock. Since releasing their debut album, Bez Pokory, in 1991, the group has endured numerous personnel changes, with the one constant being co-founder and vocalist Wojciech Wojda. The band has remained a near constant presence in the the Polish punk scene, and toured with the likes of Exploited, GBH, Die Toten Hosen, Anthrax, and UK Subs. Subsequent LP releases include My Maszyny (1993), Nierealne Ogniska (1995), Insekty (1995), Zdrada (1996), Garażówka (1996), Atomowe Zabawki (2001), Pozytywka (2003), Farbenheit (2005), Snukraina (2008), Ferajna (2009), Achtung 2012 (2012), and Projekt Punk (2013). Since 2004 the band has been the organizational force behind the annual Punky Reggae Live tour, a traveling mini-festival with an emphasis on the region's increasingly populous punk and hardcore scene. ~ James Christopher Monger
