Infos zu Jon Anderson
Jon Anderson wurde mit der Band Yes als eine der originellsten Stimmen im Prog-Rock bekannt. Der 1944 geborene Brite spielte zunächst in der Band seines Bruders Tony, The Warriors, aber die blieb so kurzlebig wie die nächsten paar Projekte. Erst mit der Band Mabel Greer's Toy Shop hatte Anderson mehr Glück: Sie benannte sich bald in Yes um und schrieb mit Alben wie Tales from Topographic Oceans Prog-Rock-Geschichte. Ab 1976 veröffentlichte Anderson auch Soloalben und wechselte zwischen Yes und eigenen Projekten hin und her. Er arbeitete unter anderem mit Vangelis, Mike Oldfield und Kitaro und wirkte an Seitenprojekten seiner Yes-Kollegen mit. Mit "Owner of a Lonely Heart" hatten Yes 1983 einen Nummer-1-Hit. Auch im neuen Jahrtausend blieb Anderson kreativ, unter anderem in Projekten mit Jean-Luc Ponty und Roine Stolt.
