On their fifth album, We the Kings fold infectious dance pop into their trademark blend of emo, punk and indie. There are still plenty of big guitars, but they’re intertwined with silky synthesisers and propulsive grooves. It’s a great fit for Travis Clark, whose supple vocals drip with yearning and romance on the swaying anthems "Completely" and "From Here to Mars". Sparks really fly when he teams up with the alluring singer Elena Coats for "XO", an arresting fusion of trip-hop and alternative pop.
