Inspired by Robert Charlebois

The jazzy pop stylings of francophone Canadian musician Robert Charlebois have had a tremendous impact on French language popular music. His sensual, expressive themes were picked up by musicians like Daniel Boucher ("La désise"); he also influenced French folk-pop musicians like Richard Desjardins ("Le bon gars"), who brought jazz to his bright acoustic guitars and extravagant, melodic singing.
