Upon emerging in the mid '70s, La Bottine Souriante's foot-stomping folk-jazz fusion caused tremors that are still being felt throughout the modern Québécois roots scene. Their singular mix of traditionalism and cheekiness spawned the beer-soaked serenades of Bob Bissonnette, the bagpiped hard rock ruckus of Bodh'aktan, and the campfire revelry of the Québec Redneck Bluegrass Project.
