Devo: Influences

Devo: Influences

This set maps the outer edges of the early '70s. Devo were kinky, danceable and outrageous, penning subversive tunes about society's “devolution”. They were inspired by the best bluesy garage rock of the ‘60s, which they twisted with British glam-pop and art-rock plus electronic experiments lifted from the streets of New York and Berlin. Their wide-ranging influences still feel joltingly fresh.
