In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. MonkeyJunk started in the corner of Irene's Pub in Ottawa, ON Canada. Weekly Sunday night shows turned into larger shows at bigger venues and then in other cities across Canada and beyond. Now five records deep and many years of international touring What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Freddie King, Let's Hide Away and Dance Away Little Walter, The Essential Little Walter Muddy Waters, Hard Again Little Walter may be the singular most influencial blues harmonica player in history Freddie King is one of MonkeyJunk's favourite singing guitar players Muddy Waters is likely the biggest blues inlfluence of our band Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Live Another Day” What makes this song special is that it takes our blues influence and meshes that with more contemporary influences. That and timely lyrics that are truer today more than ever! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of our most memorable moments is the time we played in a small town in Poland and met a young man who knew our music very well. He was singing along to our songs and went wild on the dance floor! It was incredibly heartwarming so far from home! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We would like to continue to make music we love and in turn others love
