In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. At 3 years old, in the middle of the night and I thought my grandmother was at the house. I heard her voice saying, "1,2,3,4..." I ran down the hall and saw both my parents awake standing over a piano playing the sound. Played keys every day since... What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Kendrick Lamar, To Pimp a Butterfly To pimp a butterfly, any of prince albums, Lucky Stroke. These are all my favorites because I really want to fill out my biography bio so I can tell you more about the music I am making the life I am living Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Echo” Wrote this song with my good friend Sophie Dupin. We wrote it two weeks after her father died of cancer in the forest of northern Michigan. It was a really crazy time and we had fears like losing people and death and still being in love with an echo. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Performing for James Taylor and Shawn Colvin, singing an original ballot on piano for an audience, moving to Europe and making an album there, Working with producers I was a fan of. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Play Lalapalooza, create a festival in the mountains, perform in virtual space, create an ai that sings for me when I am gone lol
