iskwē

Blending artful pop and electronic music with strong storytelling, Iskwē is an Indigenous Cree Métis singer originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Following her eponymous 2013 debut, she gained more widespread exposure when her second album, 2017's The Fight Within, was nominated for Canada's prestigious Polaris Prize. Iskwē later won a Juno Award for 2019's acclaimed acākosīk. Based in Hamilton, Ontario, she paired with veteran rock musician Tom Wilson for the 2022 collaborative album Mother Love, then returned with the romantic, dance-oriented solo album nīna in 2024.
