In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember to listening to James Taylor on the radio in the back of my parents' car. I was maybe 3 or 4 years old. I still love James Taylor. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Afterglow” I wrote Afterglow to help me deal with loss. I wasn't planning to record/release it, but a good friend convinced me to do so. Lyrically, I use 'afterglow' as a metaphor for the warm thoughts and memories that remain after a friend is gone. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Beginning a collaboration with Sean Winchester is a highlight, for sure. And also playing gigs with members of the Violent Femmes, and working with Cameron Webb on our first EP. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to keep composing and releasing the music that bubbles to the surface every time I pick up an instrument. And I want to keep sharing our music with the world---if our music is meaningful to even one listener, then we've done a good thing.
