Edward Parmentier

About Edward Parmentier

American harpsichordist Edward Parmentier obtained degrees in classical languages and literatures, humanities, and musicology at Harvard and Princeton, while studying harpsichord with Albert Fuller and Gustav Leonhardt. He has toured throughout the United States, Russia, Western Europe, Japan, and Korea playing both harpsichord and historic organs. His recordings include Bach's partitas, seventeenth century French harpsichord music, sonatas of Scarlatti, and music of the English virginalists. He is professor of harpsichord at the University of Michigan.
