About Dulce
Dulce was a Mexican romantic ballad singer and actress, mostly remembered for a string of hits in the 1980s and '90s. Her big breakthrough arrived in 1978 when she won the Mallorca Song Festival with Armando Manzanero's "Señor Amor." Owner of a powerful voice, over the next two decades Dulce went on to become one of the most popular Mexican female singers of Latin romantic pop and ballads of her generation. Besides taking part in several other international song contests, Dulce also developed a secondary career as a film and television actress. Indeed, when her musical output declined in the new millennium, she was still a recurrent presence in soap operas and talent shows (either as a coach or special guest).
