Bolstered by noisy collages of guitar chords, washed-out rhythm tracks and impressionistic lyrics, Deeper Sleeper plays like the sketchbook of its sole member Joshua Harmon, best known as the frontman for the indie-folk band The Backseat Lovers. The project’s self-titled debut, with tracks like “wishing for you,” “riverflies” and “want,” presents Harmon at his rawest.
