In the artist’s words: What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Alvvays, Alvvays Paramore, After Laughter The Beach Boys, Pet Sounds These projects helped make me who I am, as an artist and person. With tight production, zinger melodies, captivating songwriting/lyricism, and relatable, sincere deliverance—these sounds helped define my idea of music and creation. Tell us why you chose this song. “Constellations” "Constellations" is a song I wrote when I was feeling trapped, unsure, and hopeless, more than ever before. It ended up becoming one of my most freeing, open, and sincere compositions. Plus, it's my mother's favourite song, and that's enough for me. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? While studying music in university, I worked on completing an abandoned Beach Boys demo from the 70s, adding new sections, harmonies and instruments. The band loved the idea, and I was invited to a private rehearsal with Al Jardine and Brian Wilson. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I have had a career in music since before I was a teenager, but I feel my journey has still only just begun! My unabashed pipe dream is to play a Tiny Desk Concert someday.
