In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. For as long as I can remember, there was music. I started taking piano lessons when I was 5, just to copy my brother. What came after is a blur. I remember it being easy to learn a piece by heart and having absolutely no interest in reading music! Tell us why you chose this song. “Fleuve No. 1” The piece that sparked the Flore Laurentienne project; it defined the aesthetic, the concept, and above all, made the project known. In its simplicity, it contains everything - saying a lot with very little: a D minor arpeggio and 4 bass notes. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When we played the Transmusicales festival in 2023. It’s a techno festival with a massive sound system and a huge crowd. When I played the first Minimoog note, I thought the stage was going to fly off because the sound was so powerful! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would love to be invited by symphony orchestras around the world to perform my music. And of course, I’d show up with a Minimoog!
