Vegas deathcore unit Ov Sulfur brings the anti-religious slam on their second full-length, Endless. As he did on 2023’s The Burden Ov Faith, vocalist Ricky Hoover delivers guttural condemnations of organized religion, but this time with an accusatory twist: How could a supposedly benevolent god be so cruel to its children? With two new members in guitarist Christian Becker and bassist Josh Bearden, Ov Sulfur turns up the black metal char on “Bleak,” “Dread,” and album centrepiece “Vast Eternal,” all of which were written by drummer Ryan “Leviathvn” Rivard. Like its predecessor, Endless boasts a handful of guest shots—this time from Josh Davies of Ingested (“Dread”), Johnny Ciardullo of Carcosa (“Bleak”), and Alan Grnja of Distant (“A World Away”).
