Before she became known as a TV sitcom star, Bondy Chiu's main career was as a pop singer for famous Cantopop label Fitto (now EEG). Chiu's releases with Fitto in the late ‘90s tend toward the gentler side: elegant ballads and soft rock songs that suit her lilting voice, with the occasional hint of bossa nova, lounge, or Spanish guitar. Chiu took a break from music after leaving EEG in 2001, but since 2008 she has been releasing new material on her own label.
