For chameleonic Mexican pop singer Sofía Reyes, success didn't come as easy as one, two, three. The Monterrey native was born in 1995 and learned the showbiz hustle from a young age, starring in the 2009 teen musical drama, Mi Linda Anabella, followed by a brief stint in a girl group. A few years later, she was discovered by Dominican-American bachata star Prince Royce, who signed the budding talent and orchestrated her debut single, “Muévelo,” with reggaetón icon Wisin. But Reyes fully harnessed her musical voraciousness on the 2018 global smash “1, 2, 3,” crossing over with De La Ghetto and Jason Derulo and defying categorization with swaths of cumbia, reggaetón, and EDM.
