The LA-based British producer Simon Green—a.k.a. Bonobo—grew up listening to the intelligent, experimental electronica of ‘90s pioneers Aphex Twin, The Sabres of Paradise and Squarepusher. But Green's influences stretch further than the music of his youth, with the gentle ‘60s strumming of Donovan, the impressionistic jazz piano of Bill Evans and the grungy alternative of Smashing Pumpkins.
