Poignant French pop pairing AaRON (Artificial Animals Riding on Neverland) came to prominence in 2006 when their wistful ballads “U Turn (Lili)” and “Mister K” were featured on the soundtrack to the hit French film Je Vais Bien, Ne T'en Fais Pas. Their energetic eponymous debut album remains a Europop favourite—an addictive mix of electro, folk and indie pop. Dark and ethereal, AaRON's entrancing arrangements paint a bleak and barren landscape. 2015's We Cut the Night is another laid-back electronic delight awash with sombre reverie.
