About Party Pupils
Party Pupils is a future funk duo consisting of pop star MAX (Max Schneider) and producer Ryan Siegel. The pair make slick, weekend-ready dance tunes showcasing MAX's powerful, sexually charged vocals. Their repertoire includes covers of pop hits like Montell Jordan's "This Is How We Do It," remixes of artists such as Chromeo and Bebe Rexha, and original songs including 2019's "Bite My Tongue." Party Pupils formed in 2016, around the time MAX's second solo album, Hell's Kitchen Angel, was released. Their first track was a remake of OutKast's "Ms. Jackson," followed by a version of Ginuwine's "Pony." "Patient" and "Over & Under" appeared in 2017, while the duo became prolific remixers, adding their touch to songs by Bebe Rexha ("I Got You"), Urban Cone ("Old School"), Sweater Beats with Hayley Kiyoko ("Glory Days"), and others. Party Pupils signed to Steve Aoki's Dim Mak Records in 2018, releasing "This Is How We Do It" (featuring Audien) as well as "Sax on the Beach" and "Love Me for the Weekend" (with Ashe). They also released a mixtape titled Now That's What I Call Future Funk, including their unofficial remixes of hits by TLC and Lauryn Hill. Their single "Bite My Tongue" appeared in 2019. ~ Paul Simpson
