Trinity Roots Essentials
Apple Music

Initially a loose affiliation of some of Wellington's coolest jazz heads, TrinityRoots discovered their own distinctive groove when they started taking a laidback, rootsier approach to their music. They quickly found a national following. After two strong mainstream charting albums, 2001's True and 2004's Home, Land and Sea, the group suddenly split to pursue other musical interests. But a trimmed-back version reformed in 2010 and eventually released a belated comeback album, 2015's Citizen.
