The B-52's: Next Steps
Apple Music
A wicked sense of humour bursts from virtually every bar of dance-party camp that The B-52's play. In the bouncy “Funplex,” they rhyme “diet pill” with the camp classic “Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!”, while the dissonant “Quiche Lorraine” is a love song to a green poodle, of all things. In a giddy, garage-rocking cover of the ‘60s classic “Downtown,” they even adopt exaggerated fake English accents.
