In the '30s and '40s, Decca Records enjoyed some of its biggest country successes with cowboy singers. Artists including The Sons of the Pioneers, Roy Rogers, Tex Ritter and Jimmy Wakely all told tales of the trails that ended up sitting high on the country charts. But Decca wasn't all about 10-gallon hats—it was home to hit-making honky-tonk heroes like Ernest Tubb at the time too.
