Unlike many of his peers, Punjabi pop star Tegi Pannu takes his time between releases. Though he featured on all tracks of producer Gminxr’s 2025 EP HIT LIST, Misunderstood is his first major solo release since 2024’s five-track Broken Silence. It’s a good thing, then, that each of its nine tracks is so carefully crafted that the album plays like a series of singles with serious hit potential. This is Pannu reminding us he’s a master of multiple styles—from poignant ballads (“Akh Ni Ladgi”) and playful bangers (“Late Night Drive”) to punchy bhangra-rap (“M98”).
