Blunt Chunks

A singer and songwriter whose music is graceful and intensely personal, Blunt Chunks is the stage name of Caitlin Woelfle-O'Brien, whose songs recall 1970s soft rock with a touch of country-rock and a feel that makes room for both strength and vulnerability. Woelfle-O'Brien has roots in Toronto's electronic music community, and her first release as Blunt Chunks, 2015's Now's Not the Time/It's True, was an experimental effort dominated by percussion instruments. After taking up the autoharp, she began melding acoustic and electronic sounds, with her style evolving into the warm, organic tone of her first full-length album, 2024's The Butterfly Myth.
