About Red Ninja

These underground British rappers recorded the memorable singles ‘War Bytes’ and ‘Ninja Dawn: Day Of Dread’ for Zoom Records in 1989. Two subsequent releases, ‘Danger Zone’ and ‘Hellz A Place I Know’ emerged on their own label, after which half of the original line-up broke away from the group. No further sightings ensued until 1993, when, fully regrouped and energies restored, they announced the release of their debut album via a promotional single ‘Down With Hop’. They also took a hand in releasing a record by one of their protégés, MC Lethal’s ‘Portrait Of The Young Man As An Artist’.
